Grade School Ministries

We offer a variety of school-year and summer programs to support the faith formation of our grade-school-age children. We invite families to explore the options below and join us in supporting their children's participation in one or more of these great faith-building opportunities.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6

Sunday School

Sunday School

Sunday School meets each Sunday morning, September through April, immediately following the morning service. Classes run from approximately 10:45 to 11:45 AM and are available to all students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Kindergarten through 5th grade meet in a large group for a time of praise and worship before breaking into smaller groups for a lesson.

Middle School students meet together using the Dwell Curriculum lessons to learn more about God's wonderful plan for our world.

GEMS - Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior

GEMS - Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior

GEMS is a weeknight program for girls in grades 1 through 6 that meets on the first three Wednesdays of each month, November through April, to help all girls know they’re LOVED by Jesus and by a community of women dedicated to mentoring them. We believe that when a girl understands she is LOVED and experiences that love week after week in the community of a GEMS Club, her life is forever changed. And she will then go change her community for Christ.

Cadets

Cadets

Cadets is a weeknight program for boys in grades 1 through 6 that meets on the first three Wednesdays of each month, November through April, and helps boys become more Christlike in all areas of life. Each meeting includes assembling with the entire club for the landmarks, breaking into small groups (called “cadres”) for Bible study and badge work, and a time of games or other physical activity.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School

For one week each summer, the Christian Reformed Church of Rudyard hosts a Vacation Bible School for students who will be entering grades Kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall. Students join together for an introductory lesson and a skit each day, then break into groups for a craft, a Bible lesson, a snack, and outdoor activities before gathering again for a time of praise and celebration. Each year, students explore a different theme as they grow in their faith and learn about God's gift of salvation through His son.
